DUBAI, Jan 13 (Reuters) – Emirates Airline President Tim Clark on Wednesday mentioned Boeing Co’s B.N 777X may not enter into service with airways till 2023 and even later.
Boeing has been engaged on getting the widebody jet, a brand new model of its common 777 plane, into service in 2022, which is already two years later than deliberate.
“It’s a query of when that plane goes to be accomplished and licensed and supplied for entry of service. That may very well be ’22, may very well be ’23, it may very well be even longer,” Clark instructed Reuters in an interview.
“So we are going to simply wait and see as to what Boeing will do with regard to that and we are going to take a view as to how they match into the fleet at that specific time.”
Boeing couldn’t be instantly reached for remark.
